Bloomington, IN Goes SolSmart Gold
The City of Bloomington, Indiana recently joined the ranks of SolSmart Gold designees. Bloomington worked hard to increase access to solar energy for people throughout the city, including solar loans and rebates for homeowners, as well as working with local nonprofits that provide community services. The city also made changes to the zoning code that ensure solar panels can be more easily installed throughout all major zones.
“The City of Bloomington is looking toward its future through a lens of responsible energy management,” said Mayor John Hamilton. “Going solar means going sustainable and renewable while saving money and spending locally.”
