Our new program connects local governments that have already achieved SolSmart designation with local governments who are facing solar challenges. By volunteering to act as guides, our mentors act as an invaluable resource by sharing not only best practices, but also strategies they took to overcome challenges to improving solar access. Any designated community is eligible to become a mentor, and mentors may elect to become mentees on topic areas they have less experience in by filling out both forms.

Based on this information, we determine best matches for both mentors and mentees. Once that has been established, the SolSmart team will connect both parties with a kick-off meeting.
