To save the planet from catastrophic warming, the City of South Miami is committed to move our people into solar power as fast as possible. We negotiated residential solar pricing agreements in 2015, and we were instrumental in starting solar purchasing co-ops in Miami-Dade County. In 2017, South Miami became the first government outside California to require solar on new residential construction.
- Dr. Philip K. Stoddard, Mayor of South Miami
