- Created the Bellevue Green Power Challenge to encourage resident participation in purchasing clean energy to reduce the town’s carbon footprint.
- Created an online permitting checklist, increasing transparency for community members and solar installers.
- Reviewed local zoning codes and identified restrictions that intentionally or unintentionally prohibit solar PV development
Our goal has been to support solar energy by utilizing a simple, consistent solar permit process for residents and businesses. It’s been an ongoing process, but Bellevue has been able to help cut the cost of solar and make it a more viable clean energy option.
